Not sure? Most people are right on the C300 at $149. Go up a step if you are over six foot, over 220 lb, or you sit more than six hours a day. The gap between the models is $50 to $180 now, not $150 to $340.

How to size a chair

Three numbers, then buy.

Ergonomics gets talked about like a religion. It is mostly three measurements, and if they are right the rest sorts itself out.

1 / Seat height
Feet flat
Your thighs should sit level with the floor and your feet flat on it. Every chair here covers 17.3 to 21.7 inches, which fits roughly 5 ft 2 to 6 ft 3.
2 / Seat depth
Two fingers
Two fingers of gap between the seat edge and the back of your knee. Under 5 ft 6 or over 6 ft 1, get a chair with adjustable depth: the C300 Pro or the S300.
3 / Lumbar
Belt line
The lumbar pad belongs at your belt line, in the curve of your lower back. Dynamic lumbar finds it on its own, which is why the C300 upward is worth it.
Then armrests
Elbow 90
Elbows at ninety degrees with your shoulders down. 3D arms cover most people, 5D and 6D let you slide them forward for keyboard work.
